She’s a Virgin Blogger

Sitting down to write this, I’m chewing on my pencil humming Phil Collins “Easy Lover” and in my head singing the words “she’s a virgin blogger, she’s gotta write this blog by Friday”.  As for all situations, there is always a song you can match it with to put a smile on your face (or at least me and my best friend Sazzle think so!)

Hi I’m Emma, I’m a busy mum of two boys (three if you count my dog boy Dennis), hopelessly devoted wife, amazeballs cook ( or so my friend says) and I just love anything to do with beauty makeup, and styling.  This all started in my late teens out of necessity, swotting up on on ways to deal with my chronic acne which continued well into my early twenties - something I will talk about in detail in a later blog.  

In the last six years I’ve been lucky enough to turn my passion into a career I absolutely love.  Seeking out the latest products, thinking of ways they might suit my clients, that’s the fun part. Studying, getting the qualifications, investing and attending new courses so I can offer new services to my lovely clients, that’s the not so fun part.  But that feeling I get when I am putting together ideas for a new bride or special occasion, collaborating on a look for a fashion shoot or working on a vintage event such as Goodwood Revival - that’s just the best.

I’m not a business women but my little venture has to get that push if i’m to make to this into a sustainable career that can help pay the bills.  So I’ve got myself a website and I’m putting myself out to the big wide world and crossing my fingers and toes and hoping it’s true that good things happen to good people.

I’m not writing a blog because I think that’s what I should do, but because I find out so much good beauty stuff from one day to the next, why wouldn’t I share the joy with others?  I’ll always give an honest opinion on product from a professional point of view.
